Native Californians used the fire poppy for both food and medicine. Different parts of the plant were used, among other things, to repel lice, headaches and toothaches. The plant has been found to have calming ingredients.
Eschscholzia, i.e. fire poppy, is an excellent anti-stress plant. Its alkaloid content gives it soothing and relaxing properties. But it is not addictive. Eschscholzia is a valuable and natural ally that promotes relaxation, maintains a positive mood, facilitates falling asleep and quality sleep.
The origin and quality of our Eschscholzia Eschscholzia is harvested in the Loir-et-Cher region of France (July-August) at the peak of flowering. This plant is grown as an annual and in sunny weather it creates beautiful flowering meadows thanks to the beautiful yellow-orange color of the flowers all year round.
The collected aerial parts of eschscholzia are dried in an oven at 70 °C for 6 h and then at 50 °C for 48 h. The initial quality control process is performed. The guaranteed califordinin content of the obtained extract is 0.6%. An additional control procedure is performed on the extract: physico-chemical and microbiological tests, absence of heavy metals. The powder extract is used in the manufacture of tablets.
